You don’t want to overlook the Decorated with Happiness bundle from the Stampin’ Up! July – December 2022 catalog. “Wishing you a season decorated with happiness and wonder” is just about the perfect greeting.

The stamp set has greetings with mixed fonts that includes a scripty look I wish my handwriting had. The ornament images have a whimsical touch applied to old fashioned ornament designs. My grandparents had glass ornaments that looked like this. As a toddler my brother ate one of them. Yes, he ate one, at least part of one. My mom worked quickly to scoop pieces out of his mouth as he swallowed furiously.

If you like fun folds and traditional Christmas elements you will love today’s card. It might even look a little familiar. It is inspired by a project shared on page 27 of the catalog. I gave it a little different look by turning it into a faux step card.

I’m sold on the faux step. I feel like I’ve conquered a magic trick. It’s quick, easy, and packs a wow factor. Have you given it a try before? Working from just a picture I wasn’t sure where to adhere the tall panel to the card base. In the video I showed what I did initially and what I’ve learned since making a few of them.

The snowflake vellum paper must be seen in person. Some sheets have iridescent patterns and some are flocked. I’ve made the card with each to show the difference. I’m partial to the one on the right, the iridescent one. It’s bright and shiny.

I actually made 13 of these; it is a design that can easily be mass produced if you are someone who makes multiples as I am. This was a swap card for our first ever team swap. A team member approached me with the idea of starting a card swap within our team. We decided on a new catalog themed swap and invited the 55 team members to join the fun. We had 12 brave team members join the swap. Each person made 12 cards of the same design featuring products from the new mini catalog. They dropped off them off with me or the swap coordinator, Lu, and then she and I got together to sort them out. Each person got back 12 unique designs. It was great fun. I received cards using sets I don’t have and some that feature folds I’ve never tried. We will do this again in December when we have access to the upcoming January – June 2023 catalog products.

The Live Stream – Facebook and YouTube

Thursdays at 9:00 am CST, 10:00 am EST, 8:00 am MDT

Now that I’ve got the hang of going live on Facebook and YouTube simultaneously, I’ve taken an additional step. Usually the video is the first part of the blog process, not the last. I normally spend all day following the video creating all the pieces that make up the blog post. I’ve discovered that I can create the blog post complete with photos and a link to the video/live stream on YouTube. I can schedule the blog to publish at the same time the broadcast starts. By working ahead I work much more efficiently and should create a much better, more prepared experience for my viewers. Cross your fingers that I can maintain this practice and be prepared at least a week ahead. Ideally I will reach the point of creating multiple posts at once and be a month ahead.

When you jump over to YouTube to watch the replay I’d love you to subscribe to my channel and leave a comment. You are helping my channel and my business grow; thank you so much.
