This week I am featuring the rather whimsical Decorated with Happiness bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s July – December Mini Catalog. You’ll find the bundle on page 27. The stampset offers great greetings in fun fonts and 2 step stamping with fun images. There’s a tree branch, but not a tree. There are ornaments, but not large one. My brain wants there to be a tree or large ornament to create a focal point. Of course there’s a solution that makes my brain happy.

Today’s card represents a technique that probably has a name. I majored in Economics; we didn’t cover such topics. I’ve CASEd a card by Akiko Sudano. The card follows a design in the catalog that I shared a few weeks ago. You can look back on it here.

By stamping the tree branch on multiple strips of white card stock I created a layer or background to build upon. The 3 strips were stamped individually; the parts of the image that don’t fit on the strip are not continued on the next strip in the sequence. The strips have space between them maintaining them as 3 individually components. They are brought together by the placement of the greeting and ornaments.

I took time today to step this up by decorating the inside of the card and the envelope. I hope you are inspired to be creative today. I’ll have more designs featuring this bundle all week. Be sure to stay tuned.
