Confession – I really enjoy making cards. I make beautiful cards; they deserve center stage. I don’t enjoy wrapping presents and it shows. They are plain. I hide my presents behind all the beautiful ones. Every year I tell myself that wrapping wouldn’t be a chore if I didn’t procrastinate. If I wrapped as I shopped or just wrapped a few at a time it wouldn’t be a big deal. I’ve had a number of trips around the sun. I haven’t changed my habits yet. Maybe if I make more pretty packages decorated with my cards I’ll enjoy wrapping and won’t hide my wrapping effors.

While I was scrolling through the internet looking for ideas for the November mega Gingerbread class I ran across a post by Mary Knabe. It was brilliant! Make the card decorate the bag! I’ve created lots of bags with hanging cards, but none were as quick and easy as this. It’s literally a strip of cardstock cut the width of the bag with the outer edges adhered. Slide a vertical card over the flap and it’s done. You could add blink to the bag or even stamp on it. You could add a tag or let the card identify the giver and receiver.

You might not even need a video for that, but I hope you’ll watch and pick up a tip or 2. I’ll show you how to make this cute card and give you some ideas for others. Join me every Monday at 3:00 pm cst on YouTube. Follow the link and subscribe to my channel. You’ll be notified when I go live.
