Last week I flew to Las Vegas to join 85 or so Stampin’ Up! fellow trip achievers for some R&R. It was heavenly. I took pieces for 80 identical cards that were 100% not assembled and assembled them with help from my friends. At one point I had Jennifer Hill, Michelle Litwiller, Hattie Nelson, Ronda Wade, and Ronda’s most awesome helper, Jane, rocking and rolling tying bows, adding dimensionals, and putting pieces together. That 15 minutes that they each contributed saved me hours!

I brought home a few of my own plus 74 unique cards and more inspiration than you can imagine. Life is sweet!

We gathered as a large group for a few meals and some stamping, but the majority of our time was on our own. My roommate, Cindy Westerink, and I spent as much time poolside as possible. I hope my vitamin D levels are up!

Several houses are set way up high on a bluff that overlooks the hotel pool. Judy Tuttle and I took a 4 mile walk on 2 mornings and scaled an incredibly steep hill to find those houses. They are absolutely gorgeous. The views were worth the climb.

On Friday my friend Patty Jones picked me up in her RZR and took me 4-wheeling. It was amazing, hot, and dusty. We even hiked out to see dinosaur tracks.

Sunday was a long day of traveling. Cindy and I were on the same long flight and used our time to collaborate on plans for the next several months. Stay tuned to see what we’ve got in mind.

Back to Reality

This week was back to business as usual with a Monday night crafting together Zoom, YouTube live on Thursday, Masking Technique Class on Thursday evening, and Stamping BINGO on Friday evening. The idea for today’s card came to me yesterday while I was working on the final details of the Masking Technique Class. The last card for that class is a super fun fold. I decided to give it a try with the Sweetest Cherries Bundle and some of the elements of Erica Cerwin’s swap card.

I imagine that I will have a lot of inspiration from the swap cards I received last week. I hope you are inspired by the fun fold I shared today. I know I will repeat this design with many bundles. I can already envision a Happy Forest Friends card. What do you see?

Scroll down to the card recipe for the measurements and directions. I’ve included a printable PDF as well as the colorful card recipe photo. The video will guide you and offer some tips and tricks. Of course I added Wink of Stella to the cherries; I could not resist. Next time I’ll follow Michelle’s technique and sponge my punched images.

When you jump over to YouTube to watch the replay I’d love you to subscribe to my channel and leave a comment.
