This post has required patience. It’s been 6 days in the making.

Recently I’ve had the opportunity to reconnect with some friends from high school. We had lunch together a couple of months ago, and a few of them came over in March for a card class and are learning to stamp. Knowing that we had lunch plans for this week I decided to create cards for a few of our friends who could really use some loving thoughts, encouraging words, and our prayers.

I knew that we would need lots of room for all of us to write messages so I CASEd a fold shared by Selene Kempton. The card base is 1/2 a piece of card stock, just a normal card size. But the inside has a 5.25 x 11 panel that accordion folds out for signatures and folds back in for mailing.

Friday when we met for lunch before our food arrived I passed around 4 cards and everyone added a note. Today I’ll mail out the paper hugs.

The YouTube Live

The Disclaimer: Before the broadcast I had the front of my card planned, but I had not created a sample. There’s nothing like being “live” to cause things to go sideways. I had planned to use a greeting that was heat embossed with gold powder. The result was muddy. My greeting was a rather small font. Larger and broader would have been a better choice to create a contrast. And the interior of the card needed some stamping, but I wasn’t pleased with the result I created during the live. Round 2, off camera turned out much better. Practice, practice, practice. We’ve heard it all our lives, right?

There are lots of opportunities for us to stamp together in April, including an entire day at the Glen Oaks Clubhouse in Hendersonville. Think of the Kit & Crop as a crop like we used to have – bring your own projects to work on AND/OR you may purchase projects, past classes, or Stampin’ Up! all inclusive kits that I’ll bring with me. We will have a small goody bag and make and take project, and you’ll have lots of time for other crafting, laughing, and spending time with friends. You can bring your own lunch, go out for lunch, or select the catered lunch we are providing. This is a collaboration with Hope Hardy, but Hope won’t be able to join us in person. Check it out here.

I recently moved my live videos to 9 am cst. I hope to see you Wednesday mornings at 9 am CST on Facebook live here and Monday mornings on YouTube Live here. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel and allow notifications you won’t miss my Monday YouTube lives.

The recipes and supply lists are below. Please let me know if you have any questions. Happy Stamping.
