If you love samplers but dread or fear making them I have a solution and some tips and tricks. In today’s video I shared the sampler design from our stamp camp on January 22. Participants in the stamp camp will receive all the squares and die cutting already prepped. I’ve done all the hard work. They have 3 pieces to stamp and 3 hearts to cut from the DSP. Tie a bow. Tie a knot. Add Wink of Stella. And assemble. That’s it! They will have a great time making this and leave with an adorable sampler they can frame and enjoy.
There was a time that hearing “create a home decor item” or “create a sampler” would send me running. That no longer happens, or it doesn’t happen as often. I’ve learned that samplers aren’t complicated at all. It’s a basic formula repeated. Using a coordinated bundle of stamps and designer series paper as a foundation solves the challenge of finding the components of each square. You are left with placement and spacing. Grab a ruler and a pencil for that step.
Today’s video is long and very detailed. If you’ve watched me for very long you know I prefer 30-40 minute videos. I kept rolling today to give you as much detail as possible. You will learn several tips for evenly placing your sampler squares and can follow along to create this adorable Valentine sampler.
