I have a super cute Valentine’s Fun Fold Card to kick off the new catalog! That’s right- we’ve put away the Christmas stamps for a few months and are jumping in to Valentine’s and birthday stamps. It’s a cute, quick, and shimmery fun fold.

Today’s card is a CASE from a tutorial group that I participate in. I joined the group a couple of months ago and am really enjoying it. I design a card each month and create a tutorial. My tutorial is combined with about 15 others each month and distributed to the group. We then use the tutorials as a thank you with customer orders. I also share the tutorials with my team so they have ideas and instructions for creating lots of projects. I guess that’s a long way of letting you know to expect an email with a set of 16 projects from the SAB and new mini catalog when you place a qualifying order in January. Today’s cute, quick, and shimmery fun fold isn’t my design for January; I’ll share it another day.

One feature of this fun fold that I appreciate is that I can make 2 cards from 1 piece of 8.5 x 11 cardstock. The card base is cut from Highland Heather, 5.5 x 4.25. The front flap is also cut from Highland Heather, 2.75 x 8.5, and scored at 4.25.

The Sweet Talk DSP is full of bright fun patterns. I gave you a sneak peek in the video and have a paper share coming up that will give you a 1/4 pack of each of the new papers. That’s a great way to check out all the patterns, make several projects, and determine which sets you need more of. As you probably know, the papers are always prettier or cuter in person than pictured in the catalog. A paper share lets you get a sample of all at a fraction of the price of full packages.

The dies correspond to the patterns in the DSP allowing the option to cut out the conversation hearts from the DSP or stamp them on cardstock and die cut them. I opted to die cut cardstock and then stamp the greetings. You can do that easily with photopolymer stamps. The adorable envelope is cut from shimmery vellum; the shimmer doesn’t show in photos very well, but is very shimmery in person. The organdy glittered ribbon carried over from the July-December 2021 mini catalog making my heart very happy. I sprinkled on some new iridescent rhinestones to add some more bling. Valentine’s Day is all about bling and shiny objects, right?

More Valentine’s projects are coming in January 20th’s Virtual Card Class, and January 22nd’s Stamp Camp. January’s Card Club features birthday cards. Visit my classes page or my calendar page for more information and to register for upcoming classes.
