This week I am featuring the Cottage Wreaths Bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s July – December Mini Catalog. The bundle is part of the Gingham Cottage Suite on pages 58-59. You can create festive wreaths for fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas using the stamps, dies, or both.
Today’s project is a treat box. The box is 3″ tall, 2.25″ wide, and 1″ deep. It’s the perfect size for special treats. Change up the decorations on the front and use this for any occasion.
In this week’s Class To Go, I’ll share 3 gorgeous card designs featuring the bundle, more items from the suite, and a few surprises. The surprises might include some news about the upcoming January mini catalog. The livestream is at noon Tuesday, November 15. You can watch it live on YouTube or on Facebook.
The greeting and the frame around the box are from the Celebrate with Tags bundle on page 67 of the July-December mini catalog. I love the finished look the tag die adds to the top of this little box. It goes without saying that I added Wink of Stella for some shimmer to the wreath.
The Cottage Wreaths dies include 2 different dies that layer together to create the full and 3D wreath you see here and in yesterday’s card.
The box is very simple to create. Die cut the tag from Real Red card stock. From the middle score line score parallel lines 1/2″ on each side. Cut off the 2 side tabs. See the first photo.
For the box cut a 6-3/8 x 3-3/4 piece of Real Red card stock. Score the long side at 2-3/4 and 3-5/8. Score the short side at 7/8 and 2-7/8. Trim as shown in the 2nd photo. Fold and adhere the pieces to form a 3 sided box. Adhere inside the tag. Decorate with a 2-1/4 x 2-1/2 piece of DSP and die cut wreaths and a greeting. I added Festive Pearls to mine.
